- A short chapter from Kimberly McNair which introduces the concept of digital activism, using the national and global effects of the #BlackLivesMatter movement as her primary case study.
- 14.2: Digital Activism - Classroom Activity
- ‘Social Media Warriors’ - a small-group activity which has students first research a a (preassigned) case study of digital activism, and then design a mock social media campaign for a cause of their choice.
- 14.3: Digital Activism - Assessment
- ‘Digital Activism: Pro/Con’ - a guided short-response assignment that has students solidify their understanding of the shifting sands of digital activism by talking through pros and cons.
