Putting the Pieces Together: Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    PART ONE

Begin by referencing your peer feedback and any other feedback you may have received from your professor and/or tutor(s). Note, this assignment does not require you to reference the reverse peer feedback that you gave to the peer who gave you constructive feedback on your assignments. Apply the peer feedback to the following assignments:

    1. Expanded Introduction Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    2. Aristotelian Argumentation Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    3. Transition Section 1 for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    4. Rogerian Argumentation Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    5. Transition Section 2 for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    6. Toulmin Argumentation Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    7. Transition Section 3 for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    8. Your Own Argumentation Method Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment

    9. Concluding Section for the Social Justice Research Essay In-Class Assignment

    PART TWO

After making revisions to all of those assignments, combine each of those nine assignments into one document. Be sure to use MLA formatting. While it is encouraged, you do not have to use subheadings for each section. However, if you do, please give each section a unique subheading that reflects what the section is about. The subheadings should not be the name of the assignments (e.g., “Aristotelian Argumentation Section for the Social Justice Research Essay Assignment”). Moreover, use this checklist to ensure that your social justice research essay adheres to MLA formatting and the assignment’s overall guidelines.

    Checklist
1 The entire document should adhere to MLA formatting guidelines.
2 The essay is at least 2,500 words (10 pages double-spaced).
3 The entire document should be in Times New Roman 12-point font. Make sure the font is black in color.
4 The document’s margin should be 1 inch on all sides.
5 The first line of each paragraph should be indented by 0.5 inches.
6 There is a header (i.e., last name and page number) in the top right of each page in MLA format.
7 There is a heading in MLA format, left-aligned on page one before above the start of the essay.
8 There is a title centered and not in bold-face font after the MLA heading and before the start of the essay.
9 The essay utilizes at least 8 credible sources, and there should be at least 8 in-text citations in MLA format.
10 There is a Works Cited page in MLA format that starts on the top of the page that follows the page containing the last sentence of the essay.

Note: I encourage professors to supplement the Assembled Social Justice Research Essay Rubric with more robust commentary on the actual essay.
