After the lesson, instructors should assign students to read the chapter “Annotating and Notetaking” in the textbook Reading and Writing Successfully in College: A Guide for Students by Patricia Lynne. The chapter provides a through overview of the topic and should reinforce the in-class lesson and provide specific examples.
