When people can research, create and deliver a message that inspires and resonates with an audience; change can happen. In this class, we are focusing on using our public skills for good, for advocacy, to make a change on an issue of social justice. Oxford reference website defines social justice as, "The objective of creating a fair and equal society in which each individual matters, their rights are recognized and protected, and decisions are made in ways that are fair and honest." When there is a lack of fairness and equality, then there is social injustice. This text seeks to help you learn about public speaking and ways you can employ that knowledge to identify social injustice and advocate for solutions.
