In this chapter, you will be introduced to the Modern art style known as Pop Art due to the characteristic infusion of elements from popular culture, especially related to advertising and other commodified products. You and your classmates will consider what messages and values were communicated through these artworks and how some of those same messages get incorporated into fashion, both in the era of Pop Art between the 1950s-1960s and through the subsequent decades into the present.
