We will focus on the unique perspectives held by hip hop by generationers on these topics compared to previous generations. Informed largely by societal revolutions such as the feminist and women's rights movements, combined with the increased popularity and visibility of hip hop's largely misogynistic and male dominated content, individuals of this generation have arguably redefined how men and women view and interact with one another.
This module will:
- Examine relationships among hip hop generationers
- Explore how general societal changes during the late 20th century impacted hip hop generationer's views of femininity and masculinity
Upon Completion of this module, students will be able to:
- Discuss how hip hop generationers interpersonal relationships between men and women have been influenced by hip hop culture
- Discuss how hip hop generationers intersexual relationships differ from previous generations
- Discuss the ramifications of the hip hop generations' approach to interpersonal/intersexual relationships
