Instructors can adopt existing LibreTexts texts or Remix them to quickly build course-specific resources to meet the needs of their students. Unlike traditional textbooks, LibreTexts’ web based origins allow powerful integration of advanced features and new technologies to support learning.

The LibreTexts mission is to unite students, faculty and scholars in a cooperative effort to develop an easy-to-use online platform for the construction, customization, and dissemination of OER content to reduce the burdens of unreasonable textbook costs to our students and society. The LibreTexts project is a multi-institutional collaborative venture to develop the next generation of open-access texts to improve postsecondary education at all levels of higher learning by developing an Open Access Resource environment. The project currently consists of 14 independently operating and interconnected libraries that are constantly being optimized by students, faculty, and outside experts to supplant conventional paper-based books. These free textbook alternatives are organized within a central environment that is both vertically (from advance to basic level) and horizontally (across different fields) integrated.

The LibreTexts libraries are Powered by NICE CXOne and are supported by the Department of Education Open Textbook Pilot Project, the UC Davis Office of the Provost, the UC Davis Library, the California State University Affordable Learning Solutions Program, and Merlot. About This Remix

This remix is a product of the work done at LibreFest 2021 in July 2021. It aligns with the Intermediate Spanish sequence (SPAN 131, SPAN 132, SPAN 140) at Cañada College. These courses are aligned with California C-ID for Spanish 200 and 210, and eligible for IGETC 3B/6A, as well as UC-H.

This remix includes work from two sources. The bulk of the work is from Entrada Libre, produced by the ASCCC OERI Grant. There is also some material from Enrique Yepes' Spanish Grammar Manual. In this way, there are 9 units, so as to cover 3 semesters' worth of material.

Just like the Entrada Libre manual, this remix follows along with Acceso, the wonderful OER that Dr. Amy Rossomundo is spearheading at the University of Kansas. This remix goes in order, although there is an additional unit added after Acceso's Unidad 5. Titled "El español como un idioma global," The cultural focus is on Spanish as a global language--much like English, Mandarin, and French are considered global languages.

Updates to the Remix

June 2022:
- Removal of the exercises out of the most of the Entrada Libre pages and all of the Yepes pages, since they're all located in ADAPT; some of the Entrada Libre pages are not as editable.
  - For Entrada Libre, search in the Commons; all of the exercises are listed there.
  - For the Yepes work, search All Questions, and then add "Enrique Yepes" as the author; you'll find his work there.
- Renaming of Lesson 8.1 to more accurately focus on the grammatical elements that are covered.
- Addition of Lesson 8.3, "Secuencia de tiempos verbales," which focuses on the interplay of tense and mood.
