Un viaje por Guatemala
Guatemala es un país con muchos lugares y celebraciones interesantes para los turistas. En esta sección, vamos a leer parte de un blog de un turista en ese país. Vamos a continuar conociendo este país. Lee el blog y mira las fotografías del bloguero (blogger). Pay attention to the forms of the underlined verbs. They are all in the preterite, but what is different about them?

Hoy llegué a Livingston, una localidad atípica dentro de Guatemala. Un barco de esclavos naufragó (sank) en una isla cercana y los sobrevivientes pudieron escapar a diferentes puntos de la costa guatemalteca y hondureña. Allí, se mezclaron (mixed) con la población indígena y así nació (was born) el pueblo garífuna. Para llegar a Livingston, tuve que tomar una lancha (boat) porque no hay carreteras. Primero, mis compañeros de viaje y yo fuimos a la playa y allí vimos muchas cosas nuevas. Por ejemplo, estuvimos en unas cascadas espectaculares llamadas Los Siete Altares. Fue una visita inolvidable. Mañana nuestra aventura continúa en El Estor. |
