Coordinate adjectives describe the same noun and are equal in weight or importance. If you’re not sure whether the adjectives you’re using are coordinate adjectives, try placing the coordinating conjunction “and” between them and reversing the order of the adjectives. If the phrase still works well, you are dealing with coordinate adjectives and you need a comma between them. If you are describing a noun using two unequally weighted adjectives (one adjective is more important), then you should not separate those adjectives with a comma.
