Los Deportes o los Pasatiempos. Pick a Spanish-speaking country you would like to learn more about. Using the internet, or other sources, research a sport or hobby that is popular there. Then, write a paragraph to explain and describe it.
Otra perspectiva. Using the internet or other sources, create a poster to inform others about a popular sport, hobby, or athlete in a Spanish-speaking country. You can include pictures or drawings, and explain how and where it is popular and why. You might want to compare it to a sport or hobby in the United States.

- Think about a sport or hobby you would like others to do with you. Write a list of ten reasons why others should do it with you. Use different impersonal expressions in the first clause so that the second verb has the present subjunctive.
- Look for and watch a sporting event, a movie, or program in Spanish that features a sport or hobby of interest to you. Write a list of some of the words that you hear.
