I can figure out what courses are being described. Read over and listen to the following descriptions of the class and see if you can guess what they are, based on the cognates. Click on the arrow to see the answer. Pause the recording in order to give yourself a chace to think of the answer. Read them aloud and practice your pronunciation, with particular attention to the vowels. (Note that words that look like English words may be more difficult for you to pronounce since you have the English pronunciation in mind.)
Instrucciones: Work with a partner or a small group to find out about each others´ classes this semester. Here are some examples to help you.
A: ¿Cuántas clases tienes este semestre?
B: Tengo cinco.
A: ¿Qué clases tienes?
B: Tengo música, baile, español, zoología marina e historia.
A: ¿Cuál es tu clase favorita?
B: Es la clase de baile.
A: ¿Cuál es tu clase más interesante?
B: Es la clase de zoología.
A: ¿Cuál es tu clase más difícil?
B: Es la clase de música.
You may want to ask questions using these adjectives as well: fácil (easy), divertida (fun), y aburrida(boring).
Note that ¨clase¨ is a feminine noun.
A: ¿Cuál es tu materia favorita (en general)?
B: Es el español.
A: ¿Cuál es tu especialidad?
B: Es la literatura hispana.
