Hicieron escala en el aeropuerto JFK en Nueva York y llegaron a Madrid. Tuvieron que esperar una hora en aduanas, y después un tío de Paloma las recogió del aeropuerto. Se hospedaron en una pensión (que es como un “bed and breakfast” en los Estados Unidos). Fue una experiencia muy diferente a sus vidas en el pueblo super pequeño donde vivían ellas. Durante su estancia en Madrid, tomaron metros y autobuses, visitaron el Palacio Real, el Museo del Prado y el Parque del Retiro. Un día su tío las llevó a Toledo donde caminaron por calles super estrechas y antiguas en el casco histórico y vieron una catedral preciosa. La ciudad de Toledo es famosa por un estilo de joyería que se llama damasquinado. Se divirtieron mucho en su visita a Madrid. Cuando se despidieron del tío de Paloma, le dieron las gracias por una visita memorable.
