    In this issue of PLUMA the first and second generation immigrants you met in the first issue will continue to tell their stories. These stories will bring up topics that lead to opportunities for you to build vocabulary lists to suit your life interests, increase your knowledge of different cultures, and eventually be able to exchange basic information about daily life: our schedules, what we are like, our personalities in different contexts, and what some of our preferences are throughout our week.

    As always, the more input you get through reading and listening, the more effective it is to acquire Spanish, so read and listen through this entire issue, always thinking about what your stories are or could be.

    Can Do #2

    I can narrate and exchange basic information about daily life including obligations, intentions, and what we are like in our different life roles.

    This includes:

    • I can tell time.
    • I can understand and exchange information about what I do on certain days and times.
    • I can understand, ask for, exchange and provide basic information about what we have to do/need to do/should do on certain days and times in our daily schedules.
    • I can understand, ask for, exchange and provide brief descriptions of personalities in our different daily roles at school, work, home, and with friends and family.
