Cuenta una historia: This is both to develop your writing and cultural awareness, so choose a person of Spanish-speaking heritage from any country, including the USA. Tell their story in the historical present as if we are in a time machine witnessing a stage in their life. This means that you can write about someone who lived 100 years ago in the present tense. Since this is just the first part of what will become a longer story about this person later, it will be short. See the example above and checklist below. Write out all numbers!
