    • Days of the week and months of the year are not capitalized in Spanish.
    • To say “on” a day of the week, use “el” for a one-time event:
      • El lunes, voy al doctor.
    • For a recurring event, use “los.”
    • Do not pluralize days that end in s.
      • Tengo la clase de álgebra los martes y los jueves.
    • Do pluralize “sábados” and “domingos.”
      • Voy a la misa los domingos.

    Las fechas

    When saying dates in Spanish, we follow a specific formula:

    El (número) de (mes)

    To ask the date, ask: ¿Cuál es la fecha de hoy?

    To state a date, use the formula: Mi cumpleaños es el once de mayo.

    ⇨ For the first of the month, use el primero instead of el uno.
