    “Objective” = expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by personal feelings, prejudices, or interpretations

    “Subjective” = based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions

    Ejemplos de OBJETIVO y REAL Ejemplos de SUBJETIVO e IMAGINADO
    1. Expresses a fact or is your personal truth:
    • Las verduras son buenas para la salud.
    • Creo que son buenas.
    1. Communicate what is happening, has happened or WILL happen:
    • Estás comiendo más sano. Yo también comeré más sano.
    1. Is about something that exists or regularly happens (so it will continue to happen):
    • Yo sigo una dieta sostenible.
    • Pienso que como bien.
    1. is subjective and from the speaker’s imagination to influence how other people will act, but we don’t know if that behavior will happen.
    • Quiero que [tú] comas más verduras. (the audience may or may not do this in the future)
    1. is subjective, from the speaker’s imagination, expresses attitudes/lenses/perspectives to influence how others behave or see the world.
    • Es importante que todos coman más verduras. (is meant to influence others, but the audience may or may not do it in the future)
    1. is subjective, from the speaker’s imagination and refers to something that MIGHT happen, might exist or doesn’t exist.
    • Necesitas encontrar una dieta que sea sostenible para ti. (that diet might exist)
