    • discuss some of the differences between the German and Canadian school and university systems
    • ask what time it is and tell time (both formally and informally)
    • negotiate a schedule
    • ask and answer questions about a variety of topics
    • discuss leisure time activities
    • express likes and dislikes

    You will also have learned about the following structures:

    • the nominative case
    • definite and indefinite articles
    • negation with “kein
    • plural forms of nouns
    • coordinating conjunctions
    • word order in statements and questions
