    Bonjour et bienvenue !

French OER 1 is a first-semester French language method to be used in language courses at the higher education level.

This book can be used as an autonomous printed version, and it comes with additional enhancements (Quizlet, Powtoon, audio recording, outside visual resources).

Special features of this textbook include:

    • Six thematic units divided into:
      • Content topic pages that contextualize the vocabulary and grammar presented at the beginning of each unit
      • One vocabulary page per unit that combines all the vocabulary presented with audio recordings for the pronunciation
      • Structure pages that explain in detail the grammar concepts presented in the thematic pages at the end of each unit
    • Learning objectives presented at the top of each page under "In this section, you will learn how to".
    • Thematic content pages including summarized grammar charts (in purple) with links "Pour en savoir plus" (To learn more) that connect the thematic content pages with their grammar points (expanded explanations)
    • Audio recordings providing pronunciation support in connection with vocabulary presented
    • Audio recordings providing an additional resource and pronunciation support in connection with the vocabulary presented
    • PowToon videos as an additional resource, for audio-visual learners, that illustrate short communicative situations of the content presented
    • Self-graded grammar and vocabulary practice activities (H5P)

    Enhanced content

You will find links to external resources (e.g., Youtube videos, readings) in the "Ressources supplémentaires" sections as well as in certain activities for additional practice with linguistic structures and cultural context. "Flashcards" are provided through Quizlet.com for additional vocabulary and structure practice.
