    VENDRE, to sell

Je vends ma voiture. I'm selling my car.
Tu vends ce bouquin? Are you selling this book?
On vend cette maison. They're selling this house.
Nous vendons des pommes. We sell apples.
Vous vendez des poires? Do you sell pears?
Elles vendent leurs tableaux. They sell their paintings.
    Passé composé: j'ai vendu, ...
    Imparfait: je vendais, ...
Futur: je vendrai, ... Futur proche: je vais vendre, ...

Grammar Notes: A small group of verbs ending in -re are called "regular -re verbs." They all take the same set of endings as vendre. Note, however, that there are some very common verbs ending in -re that do not follow this pattern (e.g., prendre, lire, dire, boire, faire).
