    After completing this chapter, students will be able to

    1. Analyze rhetorical features of a promotional blurb on a tourism website.
    2. Analyze and practice composing sentences in a promotional genre.
    3. Listen to a presentation about the four seasons and identify the main ideas and details.
    4. Read an ESL text about festivals.
    5. Practice reading and writing strategies including word forms and capitalization
    6. Use vocabulary related to seasons and activities to describe a place.
    7. Use simple present tense to describe a place.
    8. Use compound sentences to write about a place.
    9. Use positive descriptive adjectives to describe a place.
    10. Write an email inviting a tourist to visit a place.
