    Final "S" Sounds in English (Nouns)

    1.  “S” sounds like “S” after the voiceless sounds: f, k, t, p, and th ( ).

    2.  “S” sounds like “Z” after voiced sounds.  (Voiced sounds are made by vibrating the throat, mouth or nose.)  Actually, “S” usually sounds like “Z” in English.

    4.  Boys spend days playing sports and thinking about girls.

    5.  My sons eat pizzas, milkshakes, hamburgers, and French fries with their friends.

    6.  My friend sends pages of notes to businesses in many cities and towns via email..

    7.  Doug’s sister’s husband’s brother smokes, drinks, uses drugs, and steals from old ladies.
