    Adverbs in Arabic

    • Adverbs are nouns that add information to the verbs about time, manners, and frequency of performing a certain action. (أخي يقرأُ كثيراً)
    • Adverbs can be derived from nouns, especially those denoting time. (الطلابُ يدرسون مساءً)
    • Also, adverbs can be derived from adjectives by adding Tanween Alfataha at the end, and use the masculine form of the adjective. (أُحِبُّ الطّعامَ العربي كَثيراً)
    • Adverbs in Arabic end in Tanween Alfataha تنوين الفتح. (الطَّقسُ حارٌ جداً)
    • Adverbs' position is flexible in Arabic, and they follow the verb or the object of the verb or at the end of the sentence. (أصحابي يتكلّمون دائِماً- أصحابي دائِماً يتكلمون)
    • However, the adverb جداً follows the adjective it modifies. (أنتَ كريم جِداً- هم طلاب مشغولون جداً- أنا عندي امتحان صعب جداً)

The following table gives the corresponding meanings of a few adverbs.
