For each drafted writing assignment, you will complete two drafts. The first draft of each assignment is completed during an in-class timed writing session. You will prepare for this in-class writing session by completing brainstorming and outlining activities both in and out of class.
After completing the first draft, you will engage in a peer review with one or more classmates. Your instructor will monitor and give additional on-the-spot feedback, either through Blackboard rubrics or in your Google doc. You have the opportunity to revise your essay based on this feedback and submit a second draft. Using a rubric, your instructor will provide detailed feedback on features such as content, organization, grammar, vocabulary, and correct usage of MLA style. If you earn less than a \(70 \%\) on your second draft, you are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to discuss with your instructor and/or a Writing Center tutor.
