Major Writing Assignments
The course consists of seven major assignments (five drafted assignments plus two in-class writing exams) that follow two half-semester cycles. They are as follows:

In addition to these drafted writing assignments and in-class timed writing exams, you will produce a Final Portfolio in the final weeks of the semester to showcase your best writing. Your portfolio, along with your final exam, will be evaluated by the English 160 Committee to determine whether you are ready to progress to ENGL 160.
