La clase puede seleccionar uno de los temas de debate. La clase se divide en dos grupos. Un grupo apoya la afirmación y el otro grupo la contradice. Tienen 10 minutos para preparar sus argumentos. El/la instructora decidirá cuál grupo tuvo los argumentos más convincentes.
a. ¿El índice de criminalidad en los barrios urbanos es resultado de los bajos recursos que hay allí?
b. Para muchos afrodescendientes es difícil justificar el número de muertes de miembros de la comunidad en manos de agentes de policía.
c. El derecho a la libre expresión no protege todo tipo de mensaje en la música. No debe haber lugar para los mensajes que promueven o instigan la falta de respeto hacia religiones, el odio, la violencia o el terrorismo.
d. Los músicos como cualquier otro artista deben tener el derecho de usar palabras, símbolos, imágenes o alusiones que quiera ya que se trata de la expresión creativa. Ningún tema debe ser censurado a pesar de las consecuencias.
