DEBATE. Se distribuye la clase en dos grupos; uno va a defender la afirmación y el otro va a oponerse. Tomen 10 minutos para discutir posibles argumentos, investigar el tema, y para pensar en contraargumentos.
a. Es más sensato y práctico usar el dinero para dar un pie en la compra de una casa que gastar en la fiesta de bodas.
b. La Quinceañera es una fiesta que fomenta el machismo.
c. Las corridas de los toros es una fiesta con una larga tradición y legado cultural que no se debe eliminar.
d. La tomatina es una fiesta que desperdicia alimentos que pueden asistir a los pobres.
e. La celebración de Acción de Gracias es un insulto para las comunidades indígenas de Estados Unidos.
f. San Valentín es una cursilada (cheesy).
g. Es imposible dar una fiesta sin gastar un pastón (a fortune).
h. La graduación de la universidad debe ser más celebrada que la de la escuela secundaria.
i. Debe permitirse el consumo del alcohol a los 18 años ya que se puede conducir y votar a esa edad.
